The Association for People in Need of Special Care is a Georgian non-governmental, not-for-profit organization. It was founded in 1990 under the name “Dayhome of Social Therapy”. The present name was given in May 2000.
Association for People in Need of Special Care (APNSC) has been working with adults with intellectual disabilities since its foundation. It is one of the leading organizations in South Caucasus region delivering services to people with disabilities.
The implementation of social therapy in Georgia, in order to make it possible for people in need of special care to gain their individual physical, mental and spiritual development, their social integration and participation, a life with dignity and acknowledgement by society of their contribution to social life.
